NDC Joins Opposition Summit for 2027 Election Strategy

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) attended a high-level summit with major opposition political parties in Abuja on Monday, aimed at enhancing cooperation and establishing a strong political platform for the 2027 general elections. The NDC delegation was led by National Chairman Senator Moses Cleopas and included senior party officials.

The summit, convened by the G-100 and supported by the Minority Caucus of the House of Representatives, included representatives from several opposition parties such as the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Action Peoples Movement (APM), and Peoples Redemption Party (PRP). Key discussions focused on creating a united political front and developing a framework for a common opposition presidential candidate within four weeks.

The organizers clarified that the summit was not intended to dissolve or merge parties and that no candidates were asked to withdraw from the race. This summit is part of broader consultations among opposition parties to strengthen their strategy for the upcoming elections.
