Ogun West Group Challenges Senator Adeola's Indigeneship

On Thursday, the Ogun West Stakeholders Forum, represented by Mr. Kayod Odunaro, clashed with aides of Senator Solomon Adeola regarding Adeola's indigeneship status in Ogun West Senatorial District.

The forum insisted that Adeola is not an indigene and demanded verification of his local roots, questioning his track record in community service. They expressed strong opposition to Adeola's governorship ambitions for 2027, alleging that he failed to support the region during his tenure as chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations.

The group declared its support for Oladipupo Adebutu, emphasizing that Adeola's claims of being an indigene are unfounded. Mr.

Adetunji Adedeji criticized Adeola's aspirations as a "daylight robbery" against true sons of Yewa, citing historical neglect of Ogun West. The forum's members, including Adeshola Hakeem, accused Adeola of abandoning the region during previous elections and lacking a meaningful connection to Ogun West.
