PDP's Sowunmi-Kolapo Promises Change for Ogun State

Yemi Sowunmi-Kolapo, the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State for the 2027 governorship election, stated that the PDP is the only credible platform capable of addressing the socio-economic and developmental challenges facing Ogun State. During a visit to her Ijemo community in Abeokuta South Local Government Area on Tuesday, she emphasized the need for the people of Ogun, particularly from Egba land, to resist intimidation and support the PDP.

Sowunmi-Kolapo highlighted that the party's governorship ticket aligns with the aspirations of the indigenous people and urged voters to rally behind the PDP, which she described as the most credible political party to reshape Ogun's fortunes. She expressed confidence in the party's ability to reclaim power and encouraged the electorate to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards.

Abayomi Tella, the Ogun State chairman of the PDP, supported her claims, asserting that the party has a proven record of delivering democratic dividends despite being out of power.
