PDP Candidate Archibong Challenges Governor Otu to Debate

Sir Arthur Javis Archibong, the governorship candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State, announced his readiness to participate in an open debate with the current governor, Sen. Bassey Otu, at any time and venue of the governor's choosing. This declaration came in response to a challenge from the Commissioner for Information, Pastor Ekpenyong Cobham.

Archibong stated that he would only engage in the debate if Governor Otu attends in person, asserting that the electorate deserves to hear directly from those seeking to lead them. He refrained from engaging in a verbal exchange with Pastor Cobham, noting that while they are on friendly terms, the commissioner is not a candidate in the election.

Additionally, Archibong addressed criticisms regarding Arthur Jarvis University, which he founded, affirming its establishment was intended to benefit the people of Cross River and that he would not be distracted by false allegations.
