PDP Candidates Urge Egba Residents to Support 2027 Election

Yemi Sowunmi-Kolapo, the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 Ogun governorship election, alongside Iyabo Obasanjo, the party’s Ogun Central Senatorial candidate and daughter of a former president, called on Egba residents to support the PDP. During a homecoming visit to her Ijemo community in Abeokuta South Local Government Area, Sowunmi-Kolapo asserted that the PDP is the only credible platform to address Ogun State's socio-economic challenges.

She encouraged the community to resist intimidation and vote for the PDP, emphasizing that the party's governorship ticket aligns with the aspirations of the indigenous people. Iyabo Obasanjo echoed these sentiments, urging unity among the Egba people to ensure that a candidate from their region is elected.

Abayomi Tella, the Ogun State chairman of the PDP, reinforced the party's commitment to delivering democratic dividends to the people.
