Umahi: Obi Will Contest 2027 Election, Will Fail Again

David Umahi, the Minister of Works, asserted that Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, will be alive to contest the 2027 presidential election but will ultimately fail again. Umahi dismissed any death threats against Obi, emphasizing that no one desires the presidential candidate dead.

He noted that the South East region, which Obi represents, is politically significant and that the current administration under President Bola Tinubu poses a major threat to Obi's popularity. Additionally, Umahi addressed a recent incident where Obi's vehicle was clamped at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation, stated that Obi's vehicle was parked in a prohibited zone, leading to the clamp. Keyamo insisted that Obi's claims of persecution were unfounded and highlighted that all Nigerians are entitled to fair treatment under the law.
