ADC Candidate Sulaiman Challenges Atiku Over Ticket

Amb. Omar Sulaiman, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, has publicly challenged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over the party's gubernatorial ticket.

This challenge arose after Atiku endorsed Hammantukur Madibbo, who allegedly finished second in the party primaries. Sulaiman expressed his shock at this endorsement during a press conference in Yola, asserting that he remains the duly elected gubernatorial candidate.

He emphasized that the primary was conducted under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), where he emerged victorious. Sulaiman alleged that his name was initially submitted to INEC but was later substituted without proper procedure, prompting him to seek judicial intervention.

He has secured an injunction from the Federal High Court restraining INEC from accepting any substitution of his name. Sulaiman confirmed that all relevant court processes have been served to INEC and the ADC at both state and national levels, and he believes Atiku is aware of his legal actions.
