Adamawa Group Urges Atiku to Clarify ADC Candidate Plot

The Adamawa Forward Political Organization, a group of politicians in Adamawa State, has called on Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to clear his name regarding an alleged plot to replace the ADC governorship candidate, Ambassador Omar Suleiman Omarana. The organization staged a peaceful protest at the ADC state Secretariat in Yola, expressing discomfort over rumors that Omarana might be substituted.

Hon. Joshua Buba, the spokesman and Secretary of the group, stated that many ADC stakeholders are disturbed by this development and urged party leadership to intervene.

Buba accused some politicians in Abuja of attempting to create confusion by pushing for the substitution of Omarana with Hamman Tukur. He warned that such actions could be catastrophic for the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

Abdulaziz Mohammed, the State Public Relations Officer of the movement, also appealed to Atiku Abubakar to distance himself from these undemocratic moves, which could negatively impact his chances in the upcoming polls. Attempts to contact the ADC state chairman, Barrister Ibrahim Sadiq Dasin, were unsuccessful.
