Oyo APC Chairman Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Friday, Chief Moses Adeyemo, the Oyo State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), called for unity among party leaders, stakeholders, and members to ensure the party's success in the upcoming 2027 elections. This appeal was made during the official unveiling of the party’s candidates for various positions, including governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly, at the party's state secretariat in Ibadan.

Adeyemo confirmed that the candidates presented had been affirmed by the party as its flag bearers for the 2027 general elections. Senator Sarafadeen Alli was announced as the governorship candidate and expressed gratitude to God, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and party members for his selection.

He stressed the importance of unity within the party, urging that those who contested against him should be viewed as brothers rather than opponents. Alli committed to an inclusive administration focused on education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure if elected.

Other candidates unveiled included Hon. Soji Adedeji as deputy governorship candidate, and senatorial candidates Senator Yunus Abiodun Akintunde (Oyo Central), Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunsean (Oyo North), and Hon. Engr. Aderemi Abasi Oseni (Oyo South).
