Oyo APC Aspirants Reconcile to Support Alli for 2027

On Sunday, four governorship aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State reconciled with the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, in a move aimed at ensuring the party's success in the 2027 general elections. The aspirants include former Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan, Oyedele Alao, Musbau Asanike, and Dr Ololade Bakare.

This reconciliation followed a series of meetings conducted by the APC Governorship Aspirants’ Reconciliation Committee, chaired by Senator Olufemi Lanlehin. At a press conference held at Blueline Hotel in the Akinyele Local Government Area, Lanlehin announced that despite some reservations regarding the primary process, the need for party unity ahead of the elections prompted this reconciliation.

He emphasized that collective interest must prevail over individual ambitions and that a united political family is essential for winning the governorship election.
