Opposition Coalition Summit Held Ahead of 2027 Elections

The G-100 organized a coalition summit at the Shehu Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, attended by various dignitaries and presidential candidates from opposition parties ahead of the 2027 elections. Notable attendees included Donald Duke of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Adewale Adebayo of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu.

Other participants included Lawal Daura, vice presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, National Chairman of PRP, and Usman Bugaje, vice presidential candidate of SDP. G-100 Convener Salihu Lukman welcomed the attendees, urging them to set aside differences and focus on a united front to benefit Nigeria rather than individual political ambitions.

He clarified that the summit's goal was not to select a presidential candidate but to create a framework for cooperation among the six political parties represented, which included the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Taminu Turaki-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), PRP, and SDP.
