PRP's Yakubu Kingslei Advocates for Unity in Elections

Yakubu Kingslei, a presidential aspirant from the People Redemption Party (PRP), called on politicians across party lines to reject divisive politics and embrace issue-based campaigns in preparation for the 2027 general elections. His statement was made available to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, following the Independent National Electoral Commission's release of the timetable for the 2027 general elections.

Kingslei emphasized that the upcoming electoral season presents a significant opportunity for Nigerians to elect new leaders who can redefine the country's direction. He urged candidates to conduct their campaigns peacefully and maturely, focusing on addressing Nigeria's pressing challenges, including economic insecurity, unemployment, and corruption.

Kingslei condemned the use of abusive language, ethnic profiling, and hate speech during the election period, advocating for a campaign centered on solutions rather than insults. He expressed confidence in Nigeria's future, highlighting the resilience and creativity of the Nigerian people as the nation's greatest assets.
