PRP Aspirant Kingslei Condemns Xenophobic Attacks

Yakubu Kingslei, a presidential aspirant for the People Redemption Party (PRP) in the 2027 general elections, condemned the persistent xenophobic attacks against Nigerians living abroad, particularly in South Africa. He called on the Nigerian federal government to strengthen diplomatic efforts to protect its citizens.

Kingslei described the ongoing attacks as unacceptable and expressed concern over the escalation of xenophobic violence in South Africa, where criminal gangs have issued ultimatums for Nigerians to leave their communities without legal authority. He highlighted the serious threats these attacks pose to the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians, who have faced unlawful killings, business destruction, and physical assaults.

Kingslei emphasized that no individual or group has the legal or moral authority to determine residency outside the framework of law and that every Nigerian deserves protection under the law. He urged the Nigerian government to engage with the South African government to ensure that perpetrators of xenophobic violence are investigated and prosecuted.
