Traditional Leaders Endorse Kalu for 2027 Re-election

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and member representing Bende Federal Constituency, has received endorsements from traditional rulers and religious leaders.

The Umunna Traditional Rulers Council, which includes royal fathers from Item, Alayi, Igbere, and Ezeukwu communities, expressed their support during meetings with Kalu on August 1. This follows a similar endorsement from the Bende South State Constituency (Ikwuisi) Traditional Rulers Council.

The monarchs praised Kalu's legislative interventions and constituency projects, asserting that their support is based on his performance rather than any zoning agreements. Eze Kalu Okorie and Eze Innocent Kalu Mba highlighted Kalu's achievements, including building hospitals, schools, and roads, urging the community to back his bid for a third term.

Kalu's "Meet Your Constituents" initiative aims to engage with stakeholders and address their concerns.
