Bende Monarchs Endorse Kalu for Third Term in Office

Traditional rulers from Bende South State Constituency (Ikwuisi) in Abia State endorsed Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, for a third term. This endorsement occurred during a meeting led by Eze Uchendu Okorie, Chairman of the Bende South State Constituency Traditional Rulers Council, on Wednesday.

The royal fathers unanimously supported Kalu's re-election, dismissing claims of a zoning arrangement for the Bende Federal Constituency seat. Eze Okorie commended Kalu’s exceptional legislative performance and developmental efforts, stating that discussions on power-sharing could only occur after another term.

Eze P.C. Onyegbu emphasized that there had never been a formal zoning arrangement and highlighted Kalu’s unmatched record in attracting infrastructure projects and facilitating federal government presence.

Kalu expressed gratitude for the endorsement, attributing his achievements to the support of the traditional institution and pledging to continue delivering quality representation and development projects if re-elected.
