Sowore Promises Free WAEC, NECO Fees if Elected President

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) for the 2027 general elections, vowed to abolish fees associated with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) during a presentation on Monday. Sowore described his administration's educational blueprint for Nigeria, promising free education from nursery to university levels.

He emphasized that access to education should not depend on a family's financial status and insisted that every Nigerian child deserves the opportunity to learn without facing economic barriers. Sowore's proposed educational policies aim to ensure that no child pays for public examination fees, framing education as a right rather than a privilege.

He committed to revolutionary educational policies that guarantee high-quality education, modern classrooms, and equal opportunities for all Nigerian children, asserting that no child's future should be determined by poverty.
