Melaye Urges Tinubu to Prepare for 2027 Elections

Dino Melaye, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), called for President Bola Tinubu and his family to start packing their belongings from the Aso Rock Villa in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. During an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Monday, Melaye criticized the Tinubu administration for its perceived disconnect with the Nigerian people, highlighting issues such as hunger, insecurity, and corruption.

He described the administration's attitude as “nonchalant” and condemned President Tinubu's statement that “all is fair in politics,” which Melaye interpreted as an endorsement of electoral malpractices. He asserted that the ADC's strategy would resonate with the populace, who are weary of maladministration and unfulfilled promises.

Melaye expressed confidence that the results of the upcoming elections would reflect the people's discontent with the current government, stating that the situation has created a significant rift between the citizens and their leaders.
