Dino Melaye Warns Tinubu Ahead of 2027 Election

Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), issued a warning to President Bola Tinubu regarding the upcoming 2027 presidential election. In a post on his X account, Melaye urged Tinubu to remember the fate of late former military Head of State Sani Abacha, who had received endorsements from all five registered political parties at the time and was on track to transition from military ruler to civilian president before his death.

Melaye stressed that political calculations alone do not determine leadership, highlighting what he referred to as the "God factor" in the affairs of men. He stated, “When God calls you, there is no network failure,” and cautioned Tinubu to be mindful of this divine aspect.

Melaye's comments come amid increasing political realignments and criticisms of the Tinubu administration as the 2027 general election approaches.
