Voter Education Drive Launched in Ondo for 2027 Elections

The BTO Coalition Platform for PBAT 2027, a campaign support group sponsored by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has launched a statewide voter education program in Ondo State to encourage civic participation in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The initiative, announced by coalition president Adesina Abubakar, aims to address the low voter turnout observed in the last election, where only about 300,000 out of 1.9 million registered voters participated.

The program was officially kicked off at a sensitization rally in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko North-East Local Government Area. Abubakar emphasized the coalition's commitment to mobilizing grassroots residents to vote and support President Bola Tinubu's re-election, aiming for over one million votes in Ondo State.

UK Coordinator Sam Adegbite highlighted the importance of grassroots mobilization and political education, stressing that the coalition's efforts are ongoing and structured across Ondo State and beyond.
