ADC Launches Movement to Unite for 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), through Lauretta Onochie, has announced its intention to discourage anti-party activities as part of its strategy for the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. The ADC is launching the "1ADC political movement," which aims to unite its members and garner support from various social backgrounds and political interests.

This initiative is designed to reduce friction and divisions among party leaders and aspirants, thereby mobilizing Nigerians ahead of the elections. Onochie highlighted that the movement is similar to the coalition platform previously adopted by former ADC national chairman Ralph Nwosu, which aimed to provide Nigerians with the opportunity to reclaim their country.

She urged citizens to take action to prevent the nation from sliding deeper into crisis as the 2027 elections approach.
