APC's Yilwatda Confident of 2027 Election Victory

Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), conveyed strong optimism regarding the party's prospects in the upcoming 2027 general elections during a press briefing after a three-day retreat in Maiduguri, Borno State. He dismissed the potential challenge from opposition parties such as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), stating they would merely participate rather than pose a serious threat.

Yilwatda referenced recent by-election results, asserting that the APC's electoral strength remains robust, as evidenced by their performance in Ekiti and Osun states, where they secured significant positions. He noted that in a recent by-election in Adamawa, a region associated with Atiku Abubakar, the APC emerged victorious.

Yilwatda expressed confidence in the party's preparedness to win the 2027 elections, emphasizing that the opposition's inability to win even local council positions indicates they are not true competitors.
