APC Chairman Yilwatda Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Thursday, during the launch of the APC campaign office in Agbadagbudu, Ibadan, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), called on party members to maintain unity as they prepare for the 2027 general elections. He acknowledged the grievances of members regarding the party's internal primaries and took responsibility for the mistakes made by the National Working Committee (NWC).

Prof. Yilwatda appealed to those who felt excluded or hurt to forgive the party and emphasized that the issues were not limited to Oyo state but affected the entire APC. He highlighted the strategic importance of Oyo state due to its large voting population, second only to Lagos.

Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the APC governorship candidate for Oyo state, praised Prof. Yilwatda for his swift actions and fulfillment of promises within two days, stating that the achievements surpassed what stakeholders had previously accomplished.
