The People's Democratic Party (PDP), supported by Nyesom Wike, has stated that it successfully submitted its presidential ticket to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the stipulated deadline for the 2027 general elections. The party dismissed reports suggesting it failed to upload the details of its presidential and vice-presidential candidates, labeling these claims as inaccurate and misleading.

According to a statement issued by the party's faction, led by Jungudo Haruna, the submission was completed at exactly 11:50 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2026, in full compliance with INEC's guidelines. The PDP emphasized that the reports misrepresented the situation and did not reflect the true status of its nomination process.

The party remains committed to adhering to electoral regulations and has urged the public to disregard the misleading reports regarding its candidacy submissions.
