PDP, APGA, LP Fail to Submit Candidates to INEC

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) faction led by Nyesom Wike, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and the Labour Party (LP) faction led by Nenadi Usman have not uploaded their presidential candidates and running mates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal. As of the report, 19 political parties had successfully submitted their candidates.

INEC officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, indicated that the commission had extended the submission deadline from July 11 to July 14, but no further extensions would be granted. The commission expects to begin the process of submission in line with the Electoral Act guidelines.

Major political parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), successfully completed their submissions, with APC nominating Bola Tinubu for president and Kashim Shettima as vice president, while NDC submitted Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as their candidates. However, the three parties mentioned faced uncertainty regarding their submissions, particularly in states like Benue, Kwara, and Nasarawa.
