Women Mobilize for Obi and Kwankwaso in 2027 Election

The Nigeria Democratic Congress Women Support Group (NDCWSG) has initiated a campaign to mobilize women across Nigeria in support of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, for the 2027 presidential election. At the launch and inauguration of state coordinators in Abuja, founder Sir Innocent Richard Onwenkendi emphasized the need for women to have opportunities and support to positively impact the economy.

He criticized poor governance for hindering Nigeria's potential and expressed confidence in Obi and Kwankwaso's ability to deliver effective leadership. Dr Mrs Rose Okere, the Director-General of NDCWSG, clarified that the group is not a political party but a platform dedicated to the NDC's victory.

She highlighted the group's extensive structure across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, including a youth wing. The movement aims to empower women and address societal issues, urging them to step out of their comfort zones to advocate for a better society.
