Timi Frank Blasts Obasanjo's Political Influence Ahead of 2027

Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), criticized former President Olusegun Obasanjo, stating that his political influence no longer holds electoral weight as the 2027 general elections approach. Frank's remarks came in response to Obasanjo's comments regarding the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

He accused Obasanjo of a pattern of attacking Atiku during election periods rather than promoting a preferred candidate. Frank asserted that Obasanjo's criticisms would not affect the 2027 election outcome, emphasizing that any candidate he supports has historically lost, even in Ogun State.

He urged Obasanjo to campaign for a candidate openly and to focus on the current administration's performance instead of criticizing Atiku. Frank concluded that the decision of political leadership would ultimately rest with Nigerians at the polls, asserting that if it is destined for Atiku to become President, no one can prevent it.
