Timi Frank Urges Obasanjo to Stop Blaming Atiku

Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has publicly condemned former President Olusegun Obasanjo for using Atiku Abubakar as a scapegoat in the lead-up to elections. In a statement, Frank accused Obasanjo of evading accountability for his administration's record from 1999 to 2007 while consistently attacking Atiku whenever elections approach.

He described this pattern as an "outdated blackmail" that Nigerians have grown weary of. Frank emphasized Atiku's role in the successes of the Obasanjo administration, challenging Obasanjo to accept responsibility for both achievements and failures, including controversial military actions in Odi and Zaki Biam.

He criticized Obasanjo for reviving allegations against Atiku every election cycle, labeling it a predictable political ritual. Frank urged Obasanjo to cease these tactics and instead present new ideas, asserting that such strategies would not secure victory for Obasanjo's preferred candidate in the upcoming 2027 elections.
