ZLP Nominates Khalid Arewa as Youngest VP Candidate

The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) has nominated Khalid Hassan Arewa, its National Publicity Secretary, as the vice presidential candidate for the 2027 general election. Arewa will run alongside the party's presidential candidate, Chief Barrister Dan Nwanyanwu.

The ZLP described Arewa as the youngest vice presidential running mate in Nigeria, emphasizing its commitment to promoting youth inclusion in governance. Arewa, a public administrator and entrepreneur from Bauchi State, has a history of grassroots mobilization and public service.

He previously contested the Bauchi State governorship election in 2023 under the ZLP. His political career focuses on youth empowerment, education, good governance, and sustainable development, particularly in Northern Nigeria.

The party noted his experience in governance, campaign strategy, and community development. Arewa has also mentored young leaders and advocated for greater youth participation in politics.

The ZLP expressed confidence that his nomination would strengthen its campaign for the upcoming election.
