270 Young Athletes Launch Talent Hunt in Edo State

A total of 270 young athletes from 20 schools began their journey to stardom in Edo during a talent hunt program held at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin. The event, organized by the Edo State Sports Commission and chaired by Amadin Enabulele, aims to identify and nurture hidden talents in various sports disciplines including judo, karate, kung fu, wrestling, taekwondo, boxing, and kickboxing.

Enabulele emphasized the importance of self-belief and showcasing abilities, stating that the program is designed to develop grassroots sports and provide a platform for young athletes to shine. The initiative seeks to prepare participants for future challenges and opportunities, with the hope of producing national champions, African champions, Olympians, and world champions.

The event marks a significant step in promoting sports at the community level and encouraging local talent.
