Tricycle Operator Killed in Bauchi, Seven Arrested

Abdulrahman Nuru, a 29-year-old commercial tricycle operator from Bundot in Dass Local Government Area, Bauchi State, was allegedly attacked and stabbed to death on September 4, 2026. The Bauchi State Police Command, represented by SP Nafiu Habib, confirmed the incident, stating that Nuru was attacked by Ibrahim El-Safwan and accomplices at Tudun Wus.

Following the attack, Nuru was rushed to General Hospital, Dass, where he was pronounced dead. The incident incited unrest, leading to a reprisal attack by youths from Bundot, resulting in the stabbing death of 38-year-old Mukhtar Jibrin from Bayan Fada.

The police swiftly intervened, restoring order and arresting seven suspects, including Umar Abubakar, identified as the principal suspect, along with others aged 17 to 20 from both Bundot and Bayan Fada.
