Decorator Esoh Aigb Hacked to Death in Edo State

Esoh Aigb, a 30-year-old decorator, was brutally hacked to death on May 27 in Benin City, Edo State. The incident occurred on Ojo Street in the Ogida area while she was assisting a friend with decorations for a burial ceremony.

A source, who spoke anonymously for security reasons, indicated that Aigb had completed her decoration work at the venue when she was attacked with a machete. Following the assault, good Samaritans rushed her to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries due to deep machete cuts.

The Edo State Police Command, represented by Public Relations Officer Eno Ikoedem, confirmed awareness of the murder case and stated that investigations are ongoing. A suspect has already been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
