Interior Decorator Murdered in Edo During Funeral Prep

An interior decorator was murdered in the Ogida area of Oredo Local Government Area, Edo, while she was assisting a friend in decorating a venue for a funeral ceremony. According to eyewitness accounts, the victim was attacked by an unknown assailant wielding a cutlass.

After the attack, she was left at the scene in a pool of blood and was subsequently rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries.

The family of the deceased has alleged foul play and has called on security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served. The spokesperson for the Edo State Police Command, Mose Yamu, confirmed the incident and stated that a female suspect has been arrested in connection with the case.

The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder.
