31 Rescued Oriire Students Discharged from Hospital

On Tuesday, Professor Olawal Olakulehin, the Chief Medical Director of the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, announced that 31 out of 39 rescued Oriire students have been discharged from the hospital. The discharged students were certified medically fit to reunite with their families.
Eight students, however, remain in the hospital for further medical observation and treatment. During a comprehensive medical evaluation, some children were diagnosed with congenital heart defects, specifically a hole in the heart, but there is no cause for alarm as the children are stable.
Professor Olakulehin stated that necessary medical procedures will be commenced and that the Oyo State government will be formally notified to facilitate the next phase of treatment. He assured that the welfare of the rescued children remains a top priority and that medical experts will continue to monitor their physical and psychological health as part of the post-rescue recovery process.
