Dangote Cement Celebrates International Youth Day 2026

On International Youth Day, Dangote Cement Plc, located in Obajana, Kogi, reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment through a series of programs aimed at advancing youth development. The event attracted over 100 participants, including Sustainability Champions, graduate trainees, management trainees, NYSC Corps members, and invited guests.

Presentations covered topics such as recycling, environmental sustainability, and technology-driven solutions like drone usage in mining safety. Mr. Adeniyi Azeez, Head of Human Assets Management & Administration, praised the participants for their creativity and encouraged them to develop their skills and embrace innovation.

Mr. Ademola Adeyemi, Head of Social Performance, highlighted the significance of youth involvement in shaping a sustainable future. The program included innovation pitches, sustainability presentations, poetry, music performances, and interactive sessions, which participants found inspiring and impactful.
