64 Teams Register for Karu LG Chairman’s Cup

Sixty-four teams have registered for the Karu Local Government Chairman’s Cup, as announced by Adams Jesse Odoba-Yacham, the Director of Communications of the Nasarawa State Football Association. The tournament has received approval from the Chairman of Karu Local Government Area, Barrister Abubakar Aliyu Madaki.

Matches will be held across eight wards: Panda, Gitata, Gunduma, Gidan Zakara, Uke, Auta Balefi, New Nyanya, and Aso. The participating teams will be divided into 16 groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Round of 32 following the group-stage matches.

Mr. Segun Akeusola, the Adviser on Sports and Development to the Karu Local Government Chairman and a Board Member of the Nasarawa State Football Association, stated that the competition aims to unite youths, promote peaceful coexistence, and utilize football for community development.

He emphasized that the Chairman’s Cup reflects the commitment of Barrister Abubakar Aliyu Madaki to youth empowerment and grassroots sports development.
