24 Teams Compete for ₦20m in Lagos Football Tournament

The 2026 edition of the Lagos grassroots football tournament features 24 teams drawn into six groups, competing for a total prize pool of ₦20 million. The draw took place on September 13, 2026, at The Providence Hotel in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, following a qualification phase that involved 100 teams from July 23 to September 4.

The group stage will commence on September 15 and conclude on October 8, with the final match set for October 31 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos. The tournament's structure allows the top two teams from each group to advance to the knockout stage, along with the four best third-placed teams, culminating in a 16-team knockout lineup.

The winners will receive ₦10 million, the runners-up ₦5 million, and the third-placed team ₦3 million. Dimeji Adedapo, the tournament’s General Manager, noted that over 30 players from previous editions have moved on to professional clubs in Nigeria and abroad.
