641 Teens Gain Vocational Skills in Abuja Training Program

On August 12, 2026, approximately 641 teenagers participated in a technical and vocational education and training program held at Government Science Secondary School in Maitama, Abuja. This initiative was organized by Olivehill Development Initiative in collaboration with TOM Camp Outreach Ministries.

The training exposed participants to 20 different skills through digital, creative, and hands-on vocational sessions. Skills taught included mobile cinematography, cybersecurity, coding, graphics design, and practical crafts such as fascinator making, bead making, and soap making.

The program aimed to provide teenagers with opportunities to explore skills beyond their regular school curriculum. Idara Umana, Chief Operating Officer of Olivehill Development Initiative, expressed gratitude for the continued partnership with TOM Camp, emphasizing the importance of equipping young people with practical skills.

TOM Camp representative, Victor Ajibolu, noted that the training positions teenagers to compete in the economic world and encourages creative problem-solving. This event marked the second consecutive year of collaboration between the two organizations.
