Matawalle Advocates for Tinubu's Leadership Ahead of 2027

Bello Matawalle, the former governor of Zamfara State and current Minister of State (Defence), is a strong supporter of President Bola Tinubu, believing that retaining him as president will provide stability to Nigeria's political system. Matawalle describes Tinubu as a visionary leader capable of making tough decisions necessary for national prosperity.

He launched the "Tinubu Again" movement, aimed at mobilizing support for Tinubu's governance, focusing on infrastructure, economy, and security. Matawalle has traveled extensively across northern Nigeria, asserting that the northern region will be pivotal in determining the outcome of the 2027 presidential election.

He cites the 2023 presidential election statistics, where the 19 northern states accounted for 14,690,714 votes (61.1%) compared to 9,336,016 votes (38.9%) from Southern Nigeria, underscoring the north's electoral significance.
