Emir of Argungu Endorses Governor Idris for Second Term

On Sunday, the Emir of Argungu and Vice Chairman of the Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Samaila Mera, endorsed Governor Nasir Idris for a second term. Emir Mera cited the governor's record of development and “selfless service” to the people of Kebbi State as key reasons for his support.

This endorsement took place during a courtesy visit from the Kebbi State Governor’s Media Team, led by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, as part of a nationwide tour to showcase the administration's achievements. Emir Mera emphasized the importance of recognizing leaders who deliver tangible results, stating that sustainable development in a democracy requires a track record of selfless service.

He commended the governor's initiatives in infrastructure, education, security, and economic empowerment, asserting that these efforts warrant continuity in leadership. The Emir also praised the media team's public enlightenment efforts and prayed for their success.

Governor Idris, known as Kauran Gwandu, holds the traditional title of Jigon Kabin Argungu.
