AA Raises Alarm on Nigeria's Economic and Security Issues

The African Action Alliance (AA), under the leadership of National Chairman Kenneth Udeze, raised significant concerns regarding Nigeria's ongoing economic hardship, high unemployment rates, and pervasive insecurity. In a press conference held in Abuja last weekend, Udeze acknowledged the efforts of the Federal Government and Oyo State Government in rescuing kidnapped schoolchildren and teachers but urged both federal and state authorities to ensure the release of other captives.

He highlighted the dire economic situation characterized by hyperinflation and rising costs of essential goods, which have plunged millions into poverty. Udeze pointed out that graduates and skilled youths are facing unemployment, leading to a sense of hopelessness and brain drain.

He criticized the state of public services, including healthcare and education, and condemned the selective adherence to court orders by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stating that such actions threaten the democratic process. Udeze called for immediate and sincere government action to restore public confidence and uphold the rule of law.
