AAC Rejects FCT Election Results, Alleges Voter Manipulation

The African Action Congress (AAC) has officially rejected the results of the recently concluded Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections, describing the electoral exercise as deeply flawed. In a statement signed by Comrade Rex Elanu, the party alleged widespread manipulation and voter suppression, claiming that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) failed to account for permanent voter cards.

The AAC specifically highlighted issues in the Kwali area council, where they claimed hundreds of voters were disenfranchised. The party accused the FCT Minister of imposing a curfew that restricted movement, preventing civil servants from accessing polling units in Abuja.

They reported that in one polling unit, only 14 individuals were declared eligible to vote out of 5,000 registered voters. Additionally, the AAC accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of engaging in vote-buying across several polling units.

The party expressed concerns over visible voter apathy and alleged violence from security personnel disrupting the voting process. They demand an independent investigation into these allegations and have called for sanctions against implicated politicians and security personnel.
