Aba Plunged into Darkness After 60 Days of Uninterrupted Power Supply Due to Gas Shortage

Aba, Nigeria, faced a blackout following 60 days of continuous power supply due to a gas shortage impacting the operations of Aba Power and Energy Company Ltd, a subsidiary of Geometric Power. The disruption in gas supply from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPC) affected nine local government areas covered by Aba Power.

Despite the setback, efforts are underway to restore electricity to the affected areas soon.
