ABU Lecturer Dr. Bebeji Dies in Road Accident at 45

Dr. Bebeji, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Commercial Law at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), died in a road crash on Saturday at approximately 9 a.m.

The accident occurred in Dumbin Rauga along the Kaduna-Zaria Express way. Aged 45, he is survived by one wife and two children.

Dr. Bebeji, who also served as the Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Law and Coordinator of the ABU Law Clinic, was known for championing clinical legal education and access to justice for underserved communities.

He was highly respected by both students and colleagues, who described him as an accomplished scholar, humble mentor, and committed legal practitioner. His contributions to the development of legal education will be remembered.

Dr. Bebeji was buried at Kwanar Chanchangi cemetery in Kaduna, where he spent his childhood in Tudun Wada, despite bearing the family name of Bebeji in Kano state.
