Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), located in Zaria, has begun steps to verify the academic credentials of Professor Arc. Abdullahi Abubakar, whose qualifications have garnered significant attention online.

The university acknowledged awareness of a viral social media publication regarding the professor's credentials and stated it would publicly address the matter after completing an investigation. Awwal Umar, the Director of the Directorate of Public Affairs at ABU, confirmed the university's commitment to a thorough investigative process before reaching any conclusions.

Reports have circulated that Professor Abubakar's academic profile includes five PhDs, five master's degrees, seven degrees, and eleven diplomas, which has sparked interest due to his role at the university and his contributions to teaching and research. Attempts to reach Professor Abubakar for comments were unsuccessful; however, he responded to a text message indicating he was aware of the inquiry but would not comment at that time.
