Victims of Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack Petition DSS Against Alleged Terrorist Negotiator

Victims rescued from the 2022 Abuja-Kaduna train attack have lodged complaints with the Department of State Services (DSS) against Tukur Mamu, an alleged terrorist negotiator. During the trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja, victims, including the wife of a Nigerian Army Commandant, submitted written complaints against Mamu.

The defense counsel, Johnson Usman, argued for the victims' identities to be protected due to security reasons. The DSS confirmed the rescue of victims, who also included military personnel.

The prosecution revealed that Mamu's alleged terrorist activities were investigated, including interviews with high-ranking military officials like Gen. Lucky Irabor and Gen.

Abdulkadir Abubakar. The defense requested a face-to-face interrogation involving Mamu and military committee members.

The prosecution indicated its intent to close the case, while the defense had not filed a "no case submission." The trial is adjourned until April 23.
