ACCI Launches AgroMeqa Expo to Boost Agriculture in 2026

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) unveiled plans for the Agricultural Mechanisation for Export-Quality Products in Africa (AGROMEQA EXPO 2026), set to take place from October 15 to 16, 2026, in Abuja. ACCI President, Chief Emeka Obegolu, stated that the expo aims to transition Nigeria from subsistence farming to a competitive, export-oriented agricultural economy by leveraging mechanisation, technology, and private capital.

The event, organized in collaboration with the Agricultural Trade Group and JMT Plus Farms and Agro-Allied, will address structural constraints in the agricultural sector. It will feature exhibitions of modern agricultural machinery, precision farming technologies, and climate-smart innovations, alongside high-level plenary sessions and investment forums.

A live demonstration arena will showcase practical applications of modern technologies in farming. The expo's theme is “Technology and Investment for Agro-Export,” and the date was adjusted to allow broader stakeholder participation, ensuring maximum value from this continental platform.
