ACF Rejects Claims of Fake Online Meeting by Chairmen

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) issued a statement dismissing reports of a fake online meeting purportedly held by state chairmen. The forum, led by Professor Tukur Muhammad Baba, emphasized that its leadership remains intact and operates strictly in accordance with its constitution.

The statement clarified that the ACF's National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Working Committee (NWC) are legitimate bodies managing the organization’s affairs. It was noted that any decisions made outside the established structures are invalid.

The ACF reaffirmed its confidence in Mr. Mamman Mike Osuman, SAN, and Mallam Murtala Aliyu, the chairman and secretary of the NWC, respectively.

The forum also mentioned that several state chapters distanced themselves from the alleged online meeting and denied participation. The claims were described as a fabrication by shadowy elements aiming to undermine the ACF.

The statement highlighted that the ACF's constitution does not allow state chairmen to convene decisions independently, and an investigation into the matter is underway.
