Dennis Haskins, 'Saved by the Bell' Star, Dies at 75

Dennis Haskins, the American actor renowned for portraying Principal Richard Belding in the television sitcom 'Saved by the Bell', has passed away at the age of 75. His agent, Jay Schachter, expressed the loss as tragic, highlighting Haskins' deep affection for his fans and his dedication to them.

While the official cause of death has not been disclosed, it has been reported that Haskins suffered from Parkinson’s disease. Born in Chattanooga on November 18, 1950, Haskins developed an interest in theatre during his time at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

He gained fame after playing Mr. Belding in 'Good Morning, Miss Bliss' in 1988, which was later rebranded as 'Saved by the Bell' when it aired on NBC in 1989. The sitcom became a defining comedy of the 1990s, with Haskins' character being a central figure.
