ADC Adamawa Faction Backs Atiku Abubakar in Elections

The Adamawa chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has resolved to support former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other ADC candidates in the upcoming elections. This decision was reached during a meeting led by the new Acting Chairman, Sai’du Naira, with ward chairmen and state executive members from the Adamawa Central Senatorial Zone.

The meeting focused on loyalty and the promotion of internal party democracy. Naira expressed satisfaction with the cooperation among state executive members and reaffirmed their loyalty to the national leadership under former Senate President Senator David Mark.

He emphasized the importance of working towards the success of the party across the 226 political wards in the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State. Naira also addressed the internal crisis that had nearly led to the collapse of the party, attributing it to the previous leadership's handling of affairs and assuring that transparency and honesty would guide his leadership.
