Atiku Abubakar Leads ADC Reconciliation Efforts in Jigawa

The Jigawa State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is experiencing ongoing internal strife despite intervention from the party's presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. On a Tuesday night, Atiku led a reconciliation meeting with ADC governorship candidate Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu and former aspirant Hon. Bashir Adamu Jimbo, emphasizing the need for unity and cooperation among party members.

However, subsequent disagreements arose concerning the meeting's outcomes, particularly regarding pending court cases and the candidate list. Nakudu's Head of Media/Publicity, Comrade Mati Ali, stated that Nakudu reaffirmed Atiku's call for unity and described Atiku's account of the meeting as authoritative.

Atiku stated, “Today, we have chosen unity over division and cooperation over acrimony.” The statement clarified that claims made by ADC stalwart Ali Tukur Gantsa regarding court cases were not part of Atiku's published remarks and urged the media to attribute such claims to their sources. Nakudu welcomed Atiku's intervention and reiterated his commitment to party unity.
